My new cedar ceiling sure is going to be knotty!
Day started out as most days....
Today I bought knotty cedar planks for the ceiling and some stain to make them look beautiful - gunstock stain to be exact - not sure what color gunstock is... but hey why not.
prepping for sanding and staining...
sanding them down...
something happened here...
1 coat then 2 coats!
going for a red look...
making a mess!
Adding a protective coat of polyurethane. Should be transparent when dry
Too dark? We'll see!
Tomorrow one more coat of poly and then install w/ lights! Stay tuned
