Well that happened quick. One day I buy a van, the next day I am living in a van! Well maybe not so fast - mostly took the 'opportunity' to flee hurricane Laura as a chance to live out my dream of being a #vanlife influencer by taking a picture of my morning wake up view out the back of the van.

Wow! what a view! is that a cow I see?

Spent the past two days camping and mountain biking in Hill country - a test to see is this really for me?

Parked under the large Texas Oak trees.

Put a lot of miles on the van, got a sense for how it drives, the noises it makes, and how quickly just a few unorganized things lead to complete chaos in the back. Note to self - when building the van - 1) things move and make noises, 2) clutter adds up quickly, 3) driving is more tiring then normal - go slow, rest often :-)

That said it was a good opportunity to figure out how to design the van and what I find important. Primarily storage and a place to the put the bikes.

A short trip in the 100 deg Texas heat was enough to send me crawling back to the relative comfort of AC at home. That said materials are starting to arrive form my good friend Jeff Bazos and exciting things are on the horizon!
