The Giraffe gets vaccinated, sees a grizzly and rides on an inland ferry

In celebration of being vaccinated the giraffe heads to the mountains for a few days of climbing in Spillimacheen and Revelstoke with a soak in the Half Way river hot springs!

First stop is a long weekend in Spillimacheen - after a long drive its time for dinner! Eva preparing the veggies

Next stop is a few days looking at the geology of the Halfway River hot springs for Eva, which means biking for Brian...Along the way the Giraffe spotted a grizzly and several black bears... Can you spot them in the photo? No!? Ha! Neither can I! The Giraffe says just squint and imagine they are over there...

The Halfway river hot springs are located in central BC, it was a long and arduous journey... we even had to take a boat to cross the mountains as the road just ended in a deep and very very long lake!

After many a bear, mountain pass, lake crossings and rough bumpy roads we reached our home for the next few days...

A good long day of geology and biking is followed up by dinner and more smores

Geology time is fun but we all must get back to work sometime, so we headed to Revelstoke for a little climbing...

The snow melt made for some impressive water falls...

On the way home we stopped at the bakery La Baguette for a croissant and chocolate croissant, guess who got what...

In the end we had another great adventure in the van
