Part I - maintenance B

Maintenance service B - what more can I say... Fir the 2.1l inline 4 cylinder engine maintenance consisted of changing:

oil - Mobil 5w30 ESP

oil filter - Mann HU7010Z

air cabin filter - Mann CUK3569

air filter (engine) - Mann C4312/1

fuel filter - Mann wk820/18

1st step was to replace fuel filter which required removing the air box and engine cover. Engine compartment pre-install

Air box and cover removed

New fuel filter

old filter out

With new filter in next step was to drain oil

Replace old oil filter

With new oil filter

add oil

And replace old air filters with new!

Finding the appropriate oil filter wrench, 74mm / 14 flute, proves to be the most challenging part. 74mm / 15 flute or 73mm / 14 flute no problem. Settled on 76mm / 14 flute. Had a little play but worked.

I also had the transmission oil changed but I had a local shop handle that.

Part II - Swivel seat install.

in an attempt to make the van more livable and vanlife hashtag approved I needed to install a swivel seat. Specifically one that allows the passenger seat to spin around 180 degrees and thus be used as an extra seating area when parked. These things are hot! No not to the touch but in great demand. I order a Scopoma swivel back in may. I got it early July the night before our 3 week trip to Squamish.

Thankfully it was way to install.

step 1 - remove bolts holding seat down

step 2 - remove seat

step 3 - bolt swivel to seat pedestal

step 4 - install seat to swivel

Step 5 - sit down and enjoy!

Part III bonus - beating the heat.

the heat dome settles over Calgary bringing record breaking heat. Time to dunk in the Bow. What more can I say?
