As John Denver whimsically sang "Almost heaven, West Virginia..."

After packing up and moving out I was off! First stop the New River Gorge, in West Virginia.

A few friends had rented a house to work remotely during these Covid times and do some rock climbing - I planned on meeting up with them and live vicariously parked in the yard and on occasion peaking in through the windows....
Home:

Climbing!

Making friends

Hmmmm, should we climb over there?

I think that's a yes!

Well maybe here is better?!

Days not spent climbing where spent on the bike

I missed the majority of the fall colors but a few leaves remained.

But for the most part the trees were bare...

Coffee and eggs - must be breakfast time!

First lesson learned - when designing cabinets make sure the drawers and doors latch shut securely - nothing is more annoying then doors flying open when driving around a bend.

As Thanksgiving rolled around the friends slowly left and it was getting time to move on to warmer environments - then it snowed!
