A little bit of everything not much of one thing

Finalized solar panel install, worked on electrical board v1.2, installed ceiling furring strips and made an overall mess.

Rewired electrical board so it would fit in one of the bench seat boxes I made the other day. I think this will be a good solution as to where to store batteries and electrical - I'll have to see if I can't somehow stuff the inverter in there.

Rust! while doing the solar I notice a scratched up rusty spot on the roof. Not sure what happened to the rust picture but I sanded it down and painted it... not the best painting job but its on the roof.

painting... dirty roof makes the new, non-color matched paint really stand out! good thing its the roof ;-)

I install the ceiling on to wooden furrings - I went with 1x2 maybe I should have gone with 1x3? Time will tell - plan on buying ceiling planks tomorrow! Thinking pine and staining a light color - hopefully installed in a couple days!

Before ceiling goes in I still need to install the ventilation fan - last job of the day was prep for fan. Fan will go in back of van, spot with no current insulation

sizing and marking out location of fan brackets on roof.

Cliff note for the day - Brian spends a hot day sweating on the roof of a van

still to do - install inverter, secure solar wires, start general wiring - lights and fan first

Lesson learned - working with 3M adhesives is nasty stuff!
