Yes I see that bare strip to the right, it will be overhead storage, so... no ceiling! otherwise it is finished!

Got up early this morning with goal of completing lighting and ceiling - job well done on my part!

Had to make a run to pick up some sealant for the fan before the storm hits (more on that later). Only place that carries it is an upteenth mile away. So an hour was a wasted driving to and fro

Today was pretty much a repeat of yesterday with one wonderful exception, all the wood was cut to 67 inches instead of 96 which made installation O'so much easier. Note to self if.I ever do this again cut ceiling so its paneled in 1/3s. But as I was saying today same as yesterday and day before... hanging ceiling planks, running wire, staining ceiling planks and cleaning. Yes cleaning,,,

To tie the front and back planks I picked up a piece of bamboo t-molding for floors. I figured the light color would be nice contrast to the darker red

Bamboo installed - not the best picture, light was starting to get low

As noted a tropical storm is brewing in the Gulf and it looks like it is going to slowly, ever so slowly, make its way here. Forecast for the next week looks just down right awful.

Next major project is kitchen counter which includes stove, sink and prep area - we will see how the storm effects the next couple of days.
