August - September - October - November its been 4 months since my last blog post... where have we been? what have we been up too? The internet wants to know, at the very least the next Gen-AI models need more fodder to keep us all amused.
No major road trip for Brian this fall - instead fall was mostly spent within easy driving distance of our back yard. Managed to do some hiking and climbing - mostly Brian just played with his camera, sometimes staying up long into the night photographing the night sky. We had a few visitors, Brians Dad and partner came to visit, while Eva had a friend fly all the way in from Germany.
Hiking / Backpacking and Climbing
Hard to imagine buts its summer in the rockies - a nice sunny day sees us climbing high above the Trans-Canada highway and lake Lac Des Arcs (I guess lake and lac is redundant but I'm not French so....)

Sunny hot days are also meant for bike / pack rafting - which sees us floating the mighty Bow

Backpacking in Yoho NP

Enjoying the scenery

Brian so transfixed can't stop taking photos...

Climbing
Eva's friend Birgit came to visti from Germany, the two of them disappeared into the mountains to go climb. Here they are climbing up a 5 pitch mini-corner high above Banff

and sport climbing in heart creek

Happy climbers

Hiking
This fall we spent a little more time exploring on foot. Forget me not ridge with Jan

It must be fall!

Taking in the views at Peter Lougheed

Starting to look a lot like winter

Maybe best to head back down to camp

Oh wait is that a momma griz with cubs in the distance!?

One parting hike for the year

Happy hikers

Family Visits
In September Brian's Dad and partner, Anne, came to visit. Enjoying time in the mountains

Checking out Elbow Falls

A visit to the music museum, Studio Bell, is this the starting of the next generation Beatles?

Next stop was the Yamnuska wolf dog sanctuary. Who's watching who?!

Is it winter already?
As November rolls on by so do the seasons - a frosty morning down by the Bow

Means its time for fresh baked winter cookies

Crisp days skiing

and days cut too short

Eva's Garden
Let's not forget fall is harvest time!
